FIRST EVER MOVIE TAGLINE ANTHOLOGY SEES EXCLUSIVE E-BOOK RELEASE

Film taglines are everywhere. They appear on posters, on promotion and are often marketed so that they become a part of movie lore itself,
"A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away" is an example of a tagline that has both become so identified with a popular movie (Star Wars) in case you actually needed a reminder) and yet so catchily distinctive as to take on a life beyond the movie. Not many taglines have been so successful, but a few have emerged with similar force. Both well-known and lesser-known film taglines are included in this first-even movie tagline anthology - Film Tags is a must for e-connoisseurs, buffs and scholars alike for its rare attention to the art and detail of movie promotion.
"Until now, here has been no guide to taglines, no collection dedicated to celebrating this peripheral art of the movies."
"A unique celebration and exploration of the art of the movie tagline."

AUSTRALIAN FILM GETS ITS FIRST KINDLE E-BOOK

In tandem with his ARTS-SA grant and SAR Research Fellowship at the National Film & Sound Archive (NFSA) in Canberra, Australia's capital city, author Robert Cettl compiled an anthology of Australian movie anecdotes spanning a century of Aussie film.
Precise in its detail, accurate in its research, Australian Film Tales brings to Kindle, XinXii and Smashwords an introduction to the wonders of Australian cinema through the much-beloved medium of the anecdote. From the drunken brawl that contributed to Mel Gibson getting the starring role in Mad Max to the subtle tribute in the international hit Babe to Arthur Stace, a homeless man from Sydney who spent his life writing the word "eternity" in chalk on the sidewalks of the city - Australian Film Tales is a comprehensive account of the backstories of a century of cinema.
"Australian film as you've never read about it before - up close and personal."
"Augmenting scholarly reportage with informative research, this ebook is a delight for film anecdote fans.."

PORNOGRAPHY & THE LIBRARY: A QUESTION OF INFORMATION ETHICS

What responsibility doesa library have in the digital age to the collection, archiving and dissemination of bibliographic, archival, text or multi-media material considered offensive, obscene or pornographic.
In Objectionable Material, Australian Library & Information Association (ALIA) member Robert Cettl examines precisely this question. Ethical viewpoints regarding the collection of obscene or otherwise objectionable material are present in chronological, historical context preceding a case study of the Australian censorship apparatus as it centred, at time of writing, on the Office of Film & Literature Classification (OFLC) a national body of censors which, in its creation of a rating 'RC' for objectionable, banned material contravenes library ethics regarding the archiving and dissemination of key textual resources in the Information Age.
"The Aesthetics of Offense as they pertain to Library Ethics: intriguing if radical anti-censorship theory"
"Identifies a key ethical concern facing Australian libraries."
